As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, and consistent with the self-assessment. The self-assessment can be found in the Writing Guidelines menu.
Author Guidelines
Articles written for the el-Qist Journal include scientific papers on Indonesian Islamic law and Jurisprudence from various perspectives, covering both literary and fieldwork studies. The journal puts emphasis on aspects related to Islamic Jurisprudence studies in an Indonesian context. The journal also explores themes such as Islamic philanthropy, socio-economic practices, and their influence on local and global economies.
This journal is intended to communicate the original research and current issues on the subject. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from scholars in related disciplines. The following are the provisions on article writing in el-Qist Journal:
Script must be scientific in forms of conceptual ideas or research results;
Script must be original and have never been published in any media;
Script must be written in Indonesian or English, on A4 paper size, 1.15 space, about 14-20 pages or more than 5000 words;
The script is directly sent via OJS el-Qist Journal;
The author must complete the data fields available in OJS account;
The authors must be willing to follow the editing process set by the Editor;
The authors must write the reference based on The Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition and must use the Zotero or Mandeley application;
Authors are advised to cite articles that have been published by el-Qist Journal.

The paper submitted should never have been published or submitted for publication anywhere else, and should be written in English or Indonesian. We provide a translator with a special translation fee for an accepted manuscript written in Bahasa Indonesia.
Additional Note:
The article must fit the journal’s scope. If it deviates, the editor may reject it without providing detailed reasons.
Authors should ensure their work aligns with the journal’s focus to avoid immediate rejection.
Starting in 2026, editors will give higher priority to articles based on primary data sources and field research findings over literature reviews.
