Check your manuscript before submission
Authors are required to check their manuscripts before submitting them to the journal. Authors must comply with the guidelines to avoid having their manuscripts returned. The following are important points to note:
- Manuscripts must not have been published previously and must not be submitted to other journals for consideration.
- The manuscript is in Microsoft Word format.
- The manuscript complies with the writing style and bibliography requirements listed in the Guidelines (below).
Guidelines
Manuscripts written for the MAZAWA Journal include scientific studies on interdisciplinary and contemporary zakat and waqf, covering field studies and literature reviews. This journal aims to convey original research and current issues in the field of zakat and waqf. This journal warmly welcomes contributions from researchers and academics in related fields. The following are the requirements for writing articles in the MAZAWA Journal:
- Manuscripts must be scientific in nature, in the form of conceptual or research results that contain novelty and contribution;
- Manuscripts must be original and have not been published in any media;
- Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian and will be translated during the subsequent process. Manuscripts should be on A4 paper, 1.15 spacing, approximately 15-25 pages or more than 5,000 words;
- Manuscripts should be submitted directly through the MAZAWA Journal OJS;
- Authors must fill in every data field available in the OJS account;
- The available template must be used;
- Authors must be willing to follow the editing process determined by the Editor;
- Authors must write references based on the 17th Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style and must use the Zotero or Mendeley application;
- Minimum of 30 references (85% from journals -25% from international journals- published in the last 5 years)
We provide translators at a special translation rate for accepted manuscripts written in Indonesian.
Additional Notes:
- Manuscripts must be within the scope of the journal. If not, the editor may reject them and provide reasons for rejection.
- Authors must ensure their work aligns with the journal's focus to avoid immediate rejection.
