Management Zakat and Waqf Journal (MAZAWA) is an international peer-reviewed journal. This journal is published in March and September each year and is published by Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya, Indonesia. The focus of this journal is to develop Islamic philanthropy (infak, alms, zakat, and waqf) in the latest and contemporary theories of management, accounting, conventional and Islamic economics. This journal bridges the gap in the development of Islamic economics to be more contributive and contextual in accordance with the demands of the global Islamic economy. This journal is open to new ideas, and any aspect of Islamic economics, especially Islamic philanthropy and sharia business, is studied in an interdisciplinary manner.

MAZAWA Journal supports cross-disciplinary field or conceptual research works from many scientific perspectives, ranging from Islamic philanthropy, sharia business, Islamic economics, sociopreneurship, digital business, business legality, and human resource development. The main scope of this journal includes zakat and waqf, the halal industry, Islamic economics, MSME development, and sociopreneurship at the local, national, and global levels.
