Correction and Retraction Policy
Jurnal Manajemen dan Inovasi (MANOVA) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal follows applicable publication ethics principles and relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Corrections
Corrections may be issued when errors are identified in a published article that affect the accuracy, clarity, or integrity of the publication but do not invalidate its overall findings. Requests for corrections will be assessed by the Editor-in-Chief based on the nature and significance of the error. Approved corrections will be published transparently and linked to the original article.
2. Retractions
Infringements of professional ethical codes, such as multiple submissions, bogus claims of authorship, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, or the like. Occasionally a retraction will be used to correct errors in submission or publication. The retraction of an article by its authors or the editor under the advice of members of the scholarly community has long been an occasional feature of the learned world. Standards for dealing with retractions have been developed by a number of library and scholarly bodies, and this best practice is adopted for article retraction by Elsevier: A retraction note titled Retraction: article title signed by the authors and/or the editor is published in the paginated part of a subsequent issue of the journal and listed in the contents list. In the electronic version, a link is made to the original article. The online article is preceded by a screen containing the retraction note. It is to this screen that the link resolves; the reader can then proceed to the article itself. The original article is retained unchanged save for a watermark on the .pdf indicating on each page that it is retracted. The HTML version of the document is removed.
An article also be retracted when there is clear evidence of serious problems, including unreliable findings due to data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other significant violations of research or publication ethics.
Retraction decisions will be made by the Editor-in-Chief after an appropriate assessment of the available evidence and, where necessary, consultation with the authors, reviewers, editorial board, or relevant institutions. Authors will be given an opportunity to respond to the concerns raised.
3. Retraction Notices
A retraction notice will clearly state the reason for the retraction and identify the affected article. The notice will be linked to the original publication, and the article will remain accessible with a clear retraction marking to preserve the scholarly record, except where legal or other exceptional circumstances require a different approach.
4. Expressions of Concern
When serious concerns arise but an investigation is incomplete or the available evidence is inconclusive, MANOVA may publish an expression of concern to inform readers while further assessment is undertaken.
5. Responsibilities and Transparency
Authors, readers, reviewers, and editors may report suspected errors or research misconduct to the editorial office with relevant supporting evidence. All reports will be assessed fairly and confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken based on the evidence and applicable publication ethics guidance.
MANOVA is committed to handling corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern transparently and consistently to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.
