About the Journal

Turath: Journal of Islamic Economics and Heritage Studies is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research on the economic, entrepreneurial, and philanthropic dimensions of pesantren, dayah, and other traditional Islamic educational institutions in the Malay world. Positioned at the intersection of Economics, Econometrics and Finance and Arts and Humanities (miscellaneous), the journal highlights how heritage institutions contribute to Islamic economics, cultural traditions, and sustainable community development.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure scholarly quality and originality. Articles may be submitted in either Bahasa Indonesia or English; however, manuscripts accepted in Bahasa Indonesia will be provided with professional transliteration services into English for international readership. To maintain its global orientation, the journal publishes approximately 80% of articles in English and 20% in Bahasa Indonesia in each issue.
